Manali sits at 2,050m in the Beas river valley and is one of India's most visited hill stations for good reason. Snow-covered peaks, pine forests, adventure sports, and a hippie café culture combine to make it endlessly romantic.

Top Spots to Visit Together

Rohtang Pass (3,978m) is the iconic snow point. From May to November (weather permitting), you can drive up for jaw-dropping views. Permits are required and limited — book online at himachalrohtang.nic.in at least 3 days ahead (₹550 per vehicle).

Solang Valley is better for activities — paragliding (₹1,500/person), zorbing, and quad biking are all available. In winter (Dec–Feb) it becomes a ski resort.

Hadimba Temple is a 16th-century cedar wood temple surrounded by ancient deodar forest. The walk from Mall Road takes 20 minutes and the forest is stunning in any season.

  • The Lazy Dog: River-facing seating, live music on weekends.
  • Café 1947: Rooftop views of the valley — order the banana pancakes.
